Mindful May Week 3

3-weeks of Mindfulness, already! What a perfect time to reflect :)


Speaking of, this week's technique is all about reflection.



This technique invites you to ask yourself a question: perhaps something such as, “What are you most grateful for?” (Note that asking yourself a question using the second person — you — will discourage the intellectual mind from trying to answer it rationally.) Be aware of the feelings, not the thoughts, that arise when you focus on the question.


When we take time to reflect, we allow ourselves to experience the feelings, emotions, sensations, and experiences we are reflecting on. That is a powerful tool.


This is the "dig deep" week. Use the tools you've gained up to this point to sit with your feelings--positive or negative! Sitting with emotions, and reflecting, allows you to create space to be present, and not react.
